DN GB Policies
A Group Buy (GB) is a unique opportunity for the mechanical keyboard community to come together and fund the production of custom-made, exclusive products. These products can range from keyboard kits, custom keycap sets, switches, deskmats, and more. The GB process is similar to a fundraising project where participants pre-order and pay for products at a discounted price during a set time period. This collaborative effort helps bring exciting and innovative products to life, specifically tailored for enthusiasts.

While each GB can vary, the general process usually includes the following steps:

Interest Check:

  • Conduct a survey to gather general opinions and gauge interest in the proposed product.

Finding Manufacturers & Vendors/Distributors:

  • Identify and collaborate with manufacturers and vendors to produce and distribute the products.

Pricing:

  • Obtain quotes from manufacturers and finalize the discounted price compared to the retail price.

Launching GB Online for Pre-orders:

  • Launch the GB on our website, allowing customers to place orders and pay at the discounted price.

Submitting Payment to Manufacturers:

  • Collect payments from customers and submit them to the manufacturers to initiate production.

Production:

  • Engage in processes like color-matching, sample approvals/rejections, manufacturing, and assembly.

Shipping to Vendors:

  • Ship the finished products to vendors for distribution.

Vendors Fulfilling Pre-orders:

  • Vendors handle the fulfillment of pre-orders, shipping them to customers.

  • Any remaining products (extras) are sold at the retail price.

MOQ:

A key aspect of a GB is the requirement for a minimum number of participants, known as the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ). Each product within a GB may have its own MOQ. If a specific product fails to meet its MOQ, it will be removed from your order, and you will receive a full refund for that product. However, the overall GB may still proceed if other products meet their MOQs.

Timeline:

Unlike in-stock products, GB products are not available for immediate shipping. The production and delivery process typically takes at least 6-9 months, depending on the product. Each GB will provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA) from the manufacturers, but please note that this is an estimate and not a guarantee

Shipping Address Updates:

If you need to update your shipping address, please contact our support team with your order number and the new address. You will receive a confirmation email once the update is complete. Please note that once the order has shipped, we are not responsible for any loss or delays due to incorrect or outdated shipping addresses.

Refunds, Returns, Exchanges, and Transfers:

Due to the made-to-order nature of GB products, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges. If you receive a defective item or an incorrect order, you must notify us within 48 hours of receipt. Please include a picture of the item in its original packaging to assist with the claim process.

Packages that are refused and returned to us will not be automatically reshipped, canceled, or refunded unless requested by the customer.

Our customer service, offers, and compensation are only extended to customers who purchased the product directly from our website or discord. We do not honor or accept transfers of GB pre-orders or ship to different recipients on your behalf. If you intend to resell, please wait until you have received the order.

DN QC Standards

A Stock Internal Quality:

  • Any internal flaws that are not visible after the keyboard has been fully assembled are classified as A Stock.

  • These internal flaws do not affect the performance, functionality, or durability of the keyboard.

    Replacement Criteria for Internal Flaws:

  • Any internal flaws that prevent the keyboard from being built or assembled correctly qualify for a replacement.

    External Flaws:

    Scratches, Dings, Anodizing Stains

  • External scratches smaller than 1mm will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may still qualify as A Stock.

  • External scratches longer than 3mm qualify for a replacement or partial refund.

  • Dings longer than 1mm qualify for a replacement or partial refund.

  • Anodizing stains larger than 5mm qualify for a partial refund.

    Replacement Process

    Assessment:

  • Each keyboard will undergo a thorough inspection to identify any flaws according to the criteria outlined above.

  • Flaws will be documented and assessed to determine if they qualify for replacement.

  • Support tickets must be submitted into discord within 48 hours of receipt. Boards that have been tampered with or built do not qualify for replacement or partial refunds.

    Customer Notification:

  • Customers will be informed if their keyboard qualifies for a replacement due to the identified flaws.

  • Options for replacement or possible compensation will be provided.

    Replacement Execution:

  • Approved replacements will be processed promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Replacement units will undergo the same rigorous quality check to ensure they meet A Stock standards.

    Notes

  • The quality standards are designed to ensure that DN keyboards maintain the highest level of quality and performance.

  • These standards are subject to change based on continuous improvement processes and customer feedback.

  • Please be advised that fluorescent color anodization on aluminum is inherently more prone to splotches or streaking due to the nature of the anodizing process and the properties of fluorescent dyes. These visual variations are a normal characteristic of this finish and do not affect the performance or durability of the product. All our anodized products undergo rigorous quality control inspections to ensure they meet our high standards. The presence of splotches or streaking within acceptable parameters is considered a natural occurrence and falls within our quality control standards. As such, products displaying these characteristics are not eligible for replacements or returns based solely on these visual attributes.
